Can’t come to see us? No problem – we’ll come to you
You know that it’s important to ensure you have regular eye examinations, especially if you or an immediate family member suffers from conditions like diabetes, glaucoma or macular degeneration. But it might be difficult for you to make the trip into town – because of mobility issues, lack of transport or any other factor – and in these situations we can come to see you instead.
One of our experienced and friendly opticians will visit you in the comfort of your own home, and carry out a full eye examination as you would have had in practice. They can fully check the standard of your vision as well as assessing your eye health too.
If you need glasses or contact lenses for the first time, or your prescription has changed, they will talk you through the options available to you, and even bring some frames along with them for you to try on. Once your new eyewear is
ordered, it can be delivered directly to your home address too, for your ultimate convenience.
If it is necessary for you to have a more thorough investigation than our home-visiting optician can provide with their portable equipment, we will arrange for you to either come into practice or be referred to your local GP or hospital. You needn’t worry about any of these arrangements – your optician will explain the situation to you fully at every stage, and you will always be able to ask questions about anything you’re not sure of.
Our home visiting appointments are only available on limited days, so please call in advance to discuss your situation with a member of our team and register your interest in a home visit.
